Angelia Pelham currently serves on Frisco City Council Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, Place 3. Her election in 2021 to this position made her the first Black woman to hold this seat in Frisco history.

Councilwoman Pelham is highly active in both her community and nonprofit leadership; she has served as the Campaign Treasurer for the city of Frisco’s incumbent Mayor, Jeff Cheney. She is on the board of Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco hospitals.

She has chaired for the last twelve years the non-profit, Linking Cultures of Frisco, which hosts an annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Oration Gala providing thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to Frisco High School seniors.
