Tammy Meinershagen has resided in Frisco since 2004 and is the first Asian-American to serve on Frisco City Council. Named the “Spirit of Frisco” by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce for exemplifying innovation and collaboration, Councilwoman Meinershagen has more than a decade of community service through many organizations.
Outside of Frisco City Council, she currently serves on the Advisory Boards of Leadership Prep School, Legacy Christian Academy, Frisco Arts Foundation, and the Texas Women's Foundation’s Orchid Giving Circle. She also received the distinguished Obelisk Award by the North Texas Business Council for the Arts for her visionary leadership in Frisco’s cultural ecosystem.
Councilwoman Meinershagen was honored by the Junior League of Collin County with the “Spirit of Collaboration” award for successfully partnering with over 100 businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.
