Color photo of a check from Bessie Heard, Chairman of the McKinney Public to W.L. Fitzgerald and Sarah Newman for the purchase of 402 W. Louisiana. This check was used as a deposit to hold the house for use by the library until the Library Board could raise the funds needed to pay the $12,500 price.
