Description
Joyce Kelley Comstock was an early pioneer of special education in Frisco ISD. She made up the entire special education department at Frisco High School in the mid-80s.
Mrs. Comstock retired from FISD after 45 years in education and enjoyed a special bond with her former students, many of whom still visited her throughout the years. Even though she was retired from teaching special education, she taught English as a Second Language to adult students in the evenings in Frisco ISD.
Joyce Kelley Comstock Elementary School was built in 2012 to honor the decades of impact of Mrs. Comstock on the Frisco community.
