Mrs. Martha Hunt (left) served the Plano Independent School District for 42 years. She began her career in education as a teacher at Mendenhall Elementary. She later served as the district’s Math Curriculum Coordinator and returned to Mendenhall Elementary as principal where she served until her retirement in 1997.
In 2005, the Plano ISD Board of Trustees approved the naming of the elementary school to honor of the distinguished legacy left by Mrs. Hunt.
