"Pfc. Joe H. Stanley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Stanley and husband of Mrs. Joe Stanley, McKinney, attended school in McKinney. Entered service Oct. 1944. Received training at Camp Hood. Went overseas March, 1944. Served with Patton's 3rd Army. Recieved Purple Heart for wounds March 26, 1945."
