"1st. Lt. Harry M. Smith, son of Mrs. Fama Smith, graduate of McKinney High School and A. & M. College. Entered service June, 1941. Trained as pilot. Received wings Roswell, N. M. Overseas May, 1943. Completed 23 missions when he went down over Regensburg. Had been awarded Air Medal, Oak Leaf Cluster and on Jan. 24, 1945 was on march to prison camp close to Munich."
