"Major Thomas Dooley graduated from McKinney High School and Texas A. & M. College. Commissioned 2nd Lt. Went to Philippines April, 1941. Became aide to Gen. Wainwright Aug. 1941. Was first man to be decorated in Philippines receiving Silver Star after bombing of Clarks Field. Taken prisoner by Japanese when Corregidor fell May, 1942."
