"Lt. Jewel N. Craft, son of J. R. Craft, Melissa. Graduate of McKinney High School. Was attending NSTC at time he went into service, Feb. 1943. Received commission Feb. 1944 at Stuttgart, Ark. Is now with the 15th Air Force in Italy having completed 58 missions. Awarded the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross."
