"Lt. Turner Leslie Bowen, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Bowen. A graduate of McKinney High School. Received degree at N.T.S.T.C., Denton, Texas. Entered service March, 1942. Received his wings at Corpus Christi, Texas. Went overseas July, 1943, with V-P-34 "Black Cats" Sq. Served 18 months in S. Pacific. His squadron received President's Citation. Awarded Distinguished Flying Medal."
