"Sgt. Quinn L. Allen, son of John Allen, attended McKinney High School. Entered service Feb. 1942. Took basic training at Camp Barkley, Tex. Assigned to 26th General Hospital, Ft. Sill, Okla. Sailed to England and saw action in Africa, Sicily, and Italy. Now stationed at Bari, Italy. Served overseas 34 months."
