Sgt. Paul K. Wilson, son of Mrs. T. M. Wilson of McKinney, was born October 17, 1894. He enlisted April 5, 1917, and trained with Co. B, 144th Inf., 36th Division, at Camp Bowie, until he sailed for France, July 18, 1918. He went over the top four times in the Champagne. Sgt. Wilson received the Croix de Guerre for his bravery in leading his platoon of men into battle on the 13th of October, which was the hardest day's fighting of this sector.
