Pvt. R. Fitzhugh Newsome

"Pvt. R. Fitzhugh Newsome, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Newsome of McKinney, was born April 25, 1885, at that place. He received his education at McKinney, Castle Heights, Tenn., and graduated in law at Lebanon, Tenn. It was not possible for Mr. NEwsome to enlist early enough in the war, because of his father's ill health, to complete his training for overseas service before the armistice was signed." He trained at San Antonio with the Cavalry."
