Pvt. T. Haughston Beverly

"Pvt. T. Haughston Beverly, son of the late Judge W. T. and Bettie (Betty) Beverly of McKinney. Born July 6, 1886, at McKinney. Received his education in McKinney, A. M. at Austin, and Lebanon, Tenn. Mr. Beverly made repeated efforts to enlist at McKinney, Dallas, and Austin, but was not able to pass the physical examination. He finally succeeded in being assigned to Branch of Intelligence in the Department of Justice on October 1, 1917, and served in this capacity until his death, on October 26, 1918, resulting from influenza."
