Sgt. Henry M. White

Sgt. Henry M. White is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. White if McKinney, at which place he received his early education. Later he attended Castle Heights law school and Cumberland University, Lebanon, Tennessee. After enlisting, which he did on March 6, 1918, he was sent to A. & M. College for preliminary training in the Motor Transportation Corps branch of service, then to Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, for three months. He also took a course in radio. Went overseas September 9, 1918, and drove one of the trucks until after the Argonne drive, when he was placed in charge of German prisoners. Was promoted to Sergeant after reaching France. At time data was collected Sgt. White eas still in the service."
