"Spiritual Song -- Linda Martinez sang a spiritual number in the recent talent show, sponsored by women of the Holy Family Church, to win her candidacy in the Fiesta Queen's Contest. The Mexican Independence Day celebration is scheduled for September 16. The Queen's contest is one of the highlights of the event, Miss Martinez is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guadalupe Martinez. She is 15 years of age and a McKinney High School 9th grader."
