"T/4 Roscoe E. Simpson, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Simpson, graduated from McKinney H. S. before entering service, April, 1942. Trained at Ft. Benning, Ca., going cross with the PArachute Inf., Dec. 1943. Was captured, later escaped and returned to his outfit. Has been awarded the Bronze Star somewhere in Germany."
