"Capt. Roy Geldon Roberts graduated from McKinney High School and Texas A. & M. Entered Army as 2nd Lt., Dec. 1941. Went overseas to Pacific theater April, 1942 and assigned to 25th Div. Served on Guadalcanal through the Philippines campaign. Was awarded the Bronze Medal for Meritorious achievements in action. Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Roberts."
