"Born July 3, 1900, at McKinney. After finishing high school at McKinney he attended A. & M. for two years and in September, 1918 he was placed in the S.A.T.C. of A. & M. at College Station. He was not called for overseas service due to the signing of the armistice, making it unnecessary for further combat."
